What are Chakras?

The earliest traditions of Hinduism suggests that on the most basic level, our bodies are made up of energy. Before the energy manifests into physical body parts, it forms into meridians and Chakras. Chakras are simply centres of energy, that lie along energy channels. Each holds a specific vibration and purpose.

The Heart Chakra:

The core theme of Anāhata is love. Ruled by the air-element, it reflects how as humans, we are connected to all that is. Air expands, caresses and energises. It fills any space, yet remains soft and gentle. For example, if you were to light incense in a room, smoke would spread evenly throughout the room over time. There is an evenness and equilibrium to quality of air, and so too with the nature of Love.
